SQA

The Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) uses Yomego’s exclusive SMR service to track and analyse the number and nature of relevant comments in social media spaces.

The SMR service also provides an SMR score - a popularity benchmark, out of 100, which aggregates ‘reach’ and ‘customer satisfaction’. Over time, this is a useful way to track progress, especially as comparative scores are also provided for named competitors.

SMR clients have access to a customisable online dashboard which tracks the stats in real time. Daily alerts highlight opportunities or flag possible threats so remedial action can be taken.

A representative sample of the automated sentiment data is validated by our human team and once a month, an SMR report is uploaded which identifies current trends, highlights representative comments and shares learnings from competitors. It also spotlights key influencers and provides a prioritised series of recommendations aligned with the client’s wider marketing activities.

Twice a year, the SMR scores for the world’s biggest brands are calculated and every fortnight, SMR scores for a different industry sector are revealed on the New Media Age website.

Stuart McLaren, Web Manager, SQA, says:

We regularly ask Yomego to track reaction to specific relevant stories in social channels and feedback the results. For example, when a student was allowed to take her iPod into an exam to help her concentrate, we were interested to know who was discussing the story, where and what was the reaction of key relevant influencers.
