Dubai property company, TFG, approached Yomego with a desire to boost the number of Facebook Likes very quickly and add value for their growing online community. Yomego recommended adding weekly prizes to the main headline prize – a trip for two to the Al Burj 7-star hotel – to boost appeal to a wide cross-section of the client’s target market. We also developed a customised facebook mechanic that incentivised entrants to share the competition by giving them bonus entries.

We supported the campaign with a program of blogger outreach activity. Each weekly refresh repositioned the competition for relevant bloggers e.g. the signed Michael Owen shirt was promoted to sports bloggers positioning Dubai as a venue popular with pro footballers; ASOS vouchers were promoted to fashion and lifestyle bloggers with Dubai positioned as the best place in the world to shop.

Likes increased by 100% during the promotional period and TFG’s Facebook presence is now the 11th most popular in the UAE.
