Pearson
Pearson, owner of the Financial Times and Penguin brands, wanted to reinforce their status as
"global facilitators of learning"
Yomego created a real time, interactive visualisation of Facebook and Twitter conversations on the subject of learning.
Snippets of conversation are overlaid on a perpetually updating global map, giving viewers an insight into learning
discussions going on all over the world. Users can filter by subject (e.g. musical instruments, languages) or click
for a closer look. Behind the simple interface sits a powerful social listening system that pulls out and categorises
content by subject and filters out inappropriate language, all in real time.
The app has been designed for use on Pearson’s social presences, on their websites and for display in reception areas of Pearson’s global offices.
Steve Richards, MD at Yomego, says:
Our specialist nature really helped to pull this off within challenging time-frames. Seamless integration
of the facebook and Twitter APIs combined with compelling design and content to make this an interesting and innovative project.
